A beauty advent calendar, our way
The issue with beauty Advent calendars...
Let's face it, beauty Advent calendars are gorgeous, beautifully wrapped and brimming with new treats. However, the 25 miniatures inside are almost always over-packaged in individual boxes, placed within a larger box and sealed with a (non-recyclable) plastic film.
Plus, some products may not be right for you, so they're unwanted and go to waste. AND minis mean more packaging is used to house a small amount of product. Great when you're trying something new, not so great when it's hard-to-recycle plastic.
It's excessive, wasteful and a no for the environment.
During the festive season, 300,000 tons of card packaging is used. That's enough to cover Big Ben 260,000 times! When it comes to Advent calendars that's a problem, plus anything that's shiny, glossy, foiled or glittery cannot be recycled. (Sigh).
